Compare plans and add your information before your review.
ACA Marketplace plans cover individuals and families who don't get health insurance through a job, including freelancers, small business owners, early retirees, and young adults coming off a parent's plan at 26. We compare plans from multiple Florida carriers, check whether you qualify for a tax credit, and make sure your doctors and prescriptions are covered before you enroll.
How Marketplace plans work
Every Marketplace plan covers the same essential health benefits, including doctor visits, prescriptions, hospital care, and preventive services. What changes from plan to plan is how you share costs and which doctors you can see.
Pair a Bronze or Catastrophic plan with a Health Savings Account
Since January 2026, every Bronze and Catastrophic Marketplace plan can be paired with a Health Savings Account (HSA). You can set money aside for medical costs and lower your taxes at the same time, which can make a lower-premium Bronze plan a smarter choice than it used to be.

- $4,500
- Family coverage

Ask About HSA-Eligible PlansWhy an HSA can be worth it
- Tax-free going in. Your contributions lower your taxable income.
- Tax-free growth. The balance can earn interest or be invested.
- Tax-free coming out. Withdrawals for qualified medical expenses, like deductibles, copays, prescriptions, dental, and vision care, aren't taxed.
- Yours to keep. Unused money rolls over every year and stays with you if you change plans.
Good to know
- You open the HSA yourself with a bank or HSA provider. It isn't part of your Marketplace application.
- Monthly Marketplace premiums generally can't be paid from an HSA.
- Catastrophic plans can't be used with a premium tax credit, so if you qualify for one, a Bronze plan is usually the way to get both.
- Once you enroll in Medicare, you can no longer contribute, but you can keep using what you've saved.
We'll help you compare HSA-eligible plans. For how an HSA fits your taxes, talk with a tax professional.

Common Marketplace questions
Does it cost anything to work with HelpCare?
No. We're paid by the insurance companies when you enroll, and your premium is the same whether you enroll through us or on your own.
Will I qualify for a tax credit?
It depends on your household size and expected income for the year. Under current law, premium tax credits are available to households with income between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level who don't have access to affordable job-based coverage.
If your income is lower than that, you or your children may qualify for Medicaid or Florida KidCare instead. We'll help you sort out which applies.
Can I be turned down for a pre-existing condition?
No. Marketplace plans can't deny you or charge you more because of a pre-existing condition, and they cover essential health benefits like doctor visits, prescriptions, hospital care, and preventive services.
Can I use an HSA with a Marketplace plan?
Yes, if you choose a Bronze or Catastrophic plan. Since 2026, all of them are HSA-eligible. You open the account separately with a bank or HSA provider, and for 2027 you can contribute up to $4,500 for self-only coverage or $9,000 for family coverage, plus $1,000 more if you're 55 or older.
My job offers insurance. Can I still get a Marketplace plan?
You can buy a Marketplace plan, but if your employer's coverage counts as affordable and meets minimum standards, you generally won't qualify for a tax credit. We can help you compare the two.
What if my income changes during the year?
Report it to the Marketplace as soon as you can. Your tax credit is based on your estimated income, so if you earn more than expected you may have to pay some or all of it back when you file your taxes. We can help you update your application.
What should I have ready?
Your household members and their dates of birth, an estimate of your household income for the year, any job-based coverage offers, and a list of your doctors and prescriptions. You can also enter this ahead of time in our ACA plan portal (opens in a new tab).
